the client's request to have a modern house, which has almost no reference to modern language and which fits, without clashing, into the typical context of vince of varesina, a new expanding area, is the constraint to the project. the attempt to meet this request, without losing project quality and without missing the however limited chance to foray into research, allowed us to define some simple volumes. these volumes have forms and height that depend exclusively on their function and are juxtaposed without any concession to pure compositon. they hint to the dry and essential architecture of the 50's. in the interiors, by contrast, the spatial narration is embellished by evocative elements such as room with double height ceilings and an open-plan staircase built with fresh and bright materials.
